Friday 22nd October.... another lazy day



This is the gate or Porta at the top of the city that we  negotiate whenever we go down through Assisi, the area around the porta is very pretty with great views across the valley back to the area of our villa.

Not a lot to report today as we decided to have another lazy book reading day enjoying the sunshine. We just "popped" down to Santa Maria degli Angeli to the supermarket for a top up of supplies for the weekend.
We have just been for an after dinner walk, it is just so peaceful and the moon is almost full........

    Playing golf at 11.30 today but weather forecast last night not good, however we have a blue skyed, sunny morning so Dougie, Barry and I will be giving it welly later. Loved the piccies today, didnt realise that Assissi had quite as many attractions. On the "must do" list now! Enjoy the week-end - take it easy!!

    Hi Michael here, hope you enjoyed your game, I'm envious, I'm starting to miss it !! Assisi is a wonderful city different but as splendid as Florence, tends to spoil you for the other hill top towns. Local beer is slipping down well.
