Sunday 17th Oct....Lago Trasimeno

Off again back along the E45 towards Firenze, this time to Lago (Lake) Trasimeno.
The lake is 128 square km in surface area, slightly less than Lake Como, rich in fish and an average 4 metres in depth.
A stop at Magione for coffee and a pastry treat
We drove on along the side of the lake through small villages. Being Sunday the locals were out is force at the restaurants for their very long family lunches and good luck to them what a great way to spend a Sunday.
Sorry an attempt at art.
Chef cooked very delicious roasted pork slices and roasted potatoes with green beans Greek style, I know we are in Italy but the Italians don't seem big on vegatables either, well the restaurants in Pisa and Firenze didn't !!!
Ha, we are listening to Elaine Page on Sunday and the song is Dean Martin's "That's Amore"  from the 1953 film The Caddy and also used in Moonstruck, very apt as the moon, although not full,  is shinning brightly.

  1. I'm back home to the start of Autumn, a very cold 7 degrees when I landed Saturday, having left in 32 degrees! A quiet week-end! Glad you two continue to see the delights of Italy, am very jealous still. Enjoy!!!

  2. Hi Alan, welcome back to UK. We hope you had a good trip and that it wasn't all work.
The drop in temp must have been a bit of a shock.
    Love to Maxine
