Wednesday 6th October Salve Firenze

Internet still down this morning (sorry no blog update) and now we find out why, a technician called yesterday and changed out the router !!!! Sorry to any IT chaps reading this ! Off to the railway station and a quick high speed journey to Florence, arrived at hotel, quick unpack and walking shoes on
Our hotel in Firenze. Again a good basic hotel but right in the heart of the city and perfect for visiting all of the major sights
Walked for an hour, beer and pannini then 2 hour plus walk through main area around the Duomo/Cathedral.

We have reserved tickets for the Uffizi and Galleria dell 'Accademia for tomorrow and Friday, more expensive but saves us standing in a queue for an hour + so money well spent !!

Oh dear !!!!! Picture this, whilst having a shower I realise the whole bathroom is flooding, my boy heads off to reception but meets Mr "Night Porter" who is also Mr Unhelpful and returns with a pile of towels to mop up !! Having a bath for my boy proves quite an experience as the bath is made for small Italians !

Ho hum, all part of life's experiences and a tale to tell

It is just so very nice to be able eat outside not just for lunch but in the evenings too
