Day 2 and lots more walking all along the north part of the city walls, this is an old bath house just within the city walls.
We hadn't appreciated how much the tower dominates the skyline of the city
After a quick coffee and back to hotel to change into shorts as suddenly much warmer we walk for another hour or so down to the river Arno
Church of Santa Maria. These buildings have such amazing intricate detail

A bell tower, I have decided that as there have not been any water towers so far I shall possibly regale you with bell towers instead !! The more important or affluent the owner the higher the towerAfter lunch another 2 hour walk criss-crossing the via Borgo Strata and the river Arno.
Pisa is a very compact city, very much a university city (way too much snogging! ) we have walked we think every square inch !!
After dinner another walk around the tower, it looks fantastic at night and very quiet as few tourists around, before saying arrivederci Pisa, salve Firenze
Sorry if blog a bit stilted but not quite got into the flow of this one yet
Well done, lots of people "pass through" Pisa with a look at the tower alone. Ah, you head for Florence - wonderful! You'll climb the stairs at the Duomo and sip coffee in the squares and Sue will ogle David!!!
